HISTORY OF THE CLUB
The Fort Lauderdale Mustang Club
Inc. began around 1981 with a few meetings at Koon’s Ford in Hollywood. Larry
Hurst was the first President of the club.
Later the meetings changed from weekly to monthly meetings. They moved from Koon’s Ford to a waiting area near the control tower at the Fort Lauderdale
Airport. After that the meetings were at Mustangs Classics. From there to
Hollywood Ford on US 1. Following Hollywood Ford, the meetings were held
in the PBA hall in Davie Florida.
Currently, our club is
fortunate to be able to hold our monthly meetings at Maroone Ford of Ford
Lauderdale. The meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month and start at 7:30 pm in the showroom cafeteria.
